New Maersk Line Trans-Pacific Deployment
For Exports from Asia to North America

Dear Valued Customer,

We are pleased to announce enhancements to our Trans-Pacific service network which will take effect throughout May 2011. The new design of our network is geared to deliver comprehensive coverage of export origins in Asia to various destinations in North America, and it will allow us to further improve our industry-leading reliability in the Trans-Pacific trade.

Below you will find the new port rotations, highlights of service changes and details of the first affected export vessels:
TP1
TP1 service string will consist of larger vessels and offers midweek delivery to Los Angeles for seamless, reliable connections to weekend trains. Maersk Line will operate the service and share vessel space with CMA-CGM and MSC.
Export Rotation: Ningbo, Shanghai, Los Angeles
First Affected Vessel: Maersk Kyrenia v.1107, departing Ningbo on 16 May

TP2
TP2 service string will provide broad coverage of Hong Kong, Taiwan, Southern and Central China to the U.S. West Coast. Maersk Line will share vessel space with CMA-CGM and MSC on this service.
Export Rotation: Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Xiamen, Ningbo, Long Beach, Oakland
First Affected Vessel: To be advised, departing Kaohsiung on 9 May

TP8
TP8 will utilize 6 S-type vessels (+8,000 TEU) for enhanced coverage of Northern and Central China to/from the U.S. West Coast. Schedule will be similar to today with the exception of a new direct call at Qingdao, China. Maersk Line, CMA-CGM and MSC will share vessel space on the TP8 service string.
Export Rotation: Dalian, Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Long Beach, Oakland
First Affected Vessel: MSC Silvana v.116R, departing Dalian 9 May

TP3
TP3 deployment will remain unchanged. You will be able to take advantage of our superior service reliability to/from Southeast Asia, Japan, Central and Southern China via a variety of U.S. East Coast port options. In addition, we are upgrading our vessel size on this service string to provide greater capacity for our customers while increasing operational efficiency to benefit the environment.
Export Rotation (Unchanged): Yokohama, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Yantian, Tanjung
Pelepas, Newark, Norfolk, Savannah

TP5
TP5 is a Maersk Line operated string with 5 Panamax class, U.S. flag vessels. New deployment will offer expanded coverage of Japan while maintaining the same port options in Korea to/from the U.S. West Coast and Dutch Harbor, Alaska.
Export Rotation: Kobe, Kwangyang, Busan, Hakata, Nagoya, Yokohama, Los Angeles,
Oakland, Dutch Harbor
First Affected Vessel: SL Comet v.1108, departing Kobe 6 May

TP6
TP6 will continue to offer comprehensive coverage of Southeast Asia, Central and Southern China to/from the U.S. West Coast. We also aim to further improve on our exceptional reliability on this service. Xiamen will be dropped from the current TP6 rotation and Nansha (Guangzhou) will be added.
Export Rotation: Tanjung Pelepas, Ho Chi Minh City, Nansha, Yantian, Hong Kong,
Los Angeles
First Affected Vessel: Gjertrud Maersk v.1108, departing Tanjung Pelepas 6 May

TP7
Our TP7 service string will feature 10 Maersk Line operated Panamax vessels, providing extensive coverage of Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Southern and Central China via multiple U.S. East Coast ports. We will also add Shanghai and Nansha (Guangzhou) as direct port call options at origin for additional service flexibility.
Export Rotation: Kaohsiung, Yantian, Nansha, Shanghai, Busan, Balboa, Miami, Savannah,
Charleston
First Affected Vessel: Maersk Moncton v.1107, departing Yantian 15-May

TP9
Deployment will remain unchanged from today. However, we will be upgrading our vessels to S-Types (+8,000 TEU capacity) to achieve better space availability and operational efficiency for our customers shipping from Southeast Asia, Korea, Central and Southern China to the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
Export Rotation (Unchanged): Tanjung Pelepas, Hong Kong, Yantian, Shanghai,
Busan, Seattle, Vancouver
