ISF Liquidated Damages Enforcement Expected by Summer's End
U.S. Customs and Border Protection sources have informed Broker Power that the agency is “on track” to begin 10+2, including Importer Security Filing (ISF), liquidated damages enforcement sometime before the end of the summer. They also stated that CBP will be issuing an updated 10+2 frequently asked questions document by the end of the summer.

9 A.M. UPDATE: PORT OF LOS ANGELES RESPONDS TO TSUNAMI ADVISORY
SAN PEDRO, Calif. — March 11, 2011 — The Port of Los Angeles is taking precautionary measures throughout the Port of Los Angeles complex in response to the tsunami advisory issued after a major earthquake struck Japan.
As a precaution, the Port of Los Angeles has temporarily suspended the transfer of hazardous materials and bunkering fool operations as of 8 a.m. Normal cargo operations have not been interrupted.
